NYT Book Review had taken the rare step this week in turning over almost two full pages to pro and con letters inspired by Katie Roiphe's recent essay hailing the sex-obsessed male novelists of the '50s and '60s who, shall we say, did not exactly treat women as equals, in and out of bed. But the letters keep arriving

Katie Roiphe is looking in the wrong place if she thinks contemporary writing is devoid of hypersexuality. The dawn of the new written word is taking place online.
