Great piece in the L.A. Times, reprinted in many Sunday papers today, about Elvis Presley's visit to the White House in 1970.The King met the Prez after a wild series of plane rides and White House phone calls that ended with Presley giving Nixon a gun (there was even a Hollywood movie about it).
